Follow-up

Structured surveillance to detect any relapse as early as possible, while keeping diagnostic radiation exposure to a minimum.

The follow-up after diagnosis and treatment is aimed at detecting possible relapses as early as possible. The current follow-up schedules have been developed based on SWENOTECA's own experience from treating many thousands of patients with testicular cancer.

It is important to reduce radiation exposure from diagnostic imaging. As a consequence, SWENOTECA recommends the use of MRI for abdominal imaging wherever possible.
